About me
Before joining UAN as an Afterschool Consultant, Mason Pappas, a Utah native, spent five years working in afterschool and summer programs with the YMCA in Salt Lake City and Ogden. His passion for youth development began while working as a school custodian at a site that hosted afterschool programming. Starting in the field as a seasonal summer counselor, he quickly advanced to assistant director, where he helped train future afterschool professionals. Mason values the opportunities afterschool provides youth and families and enjoys seeing young people grow and discover their passions. In 2025, he was recognized as an NAA Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders Honoree.
Outside of work, Mason enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching movies, playing video games, tinkering with his computer, and enjoying good food.
