About me
Dr. Teri Henke has held teaching and leadership roles in programs serving children and adults across a variety of settings for over 40 years. Prior to retiring from the Child and Family Studies Department at Weber State University in 2024, she taught early childhood education courses focused on child well-being and building resilience by strengthening the capabilities of adults, while also advocating for policies and practices that support children, families, and teachers. Teri remains committed to creating a more compassionate and sustainable world for children through the practice of self-compassion. In retirement, she is enjoying investing in self-care, spending time with family and friends, traveling adventures with her husband, and celebrating the success of her three adult daughters.
